The Mediterranean furniture design competition: Wood Innov Design 2019

Our student Nada Krifa enrolled in second year architecture won the sixth place of the Mediterranean competition for furniture design, Wood Innov Design 2019. This competition, in its second edition, was organized by CETIBA, under the theme "It all starts with a Dream". 122 students presented their projects and their designs were evaluated by design professionals. The prototype of our representative was carried out in collaboration with the school’s visual arts workshop. The design of our student was a modular and multifunctional wall. The different parts of the design are built-ins furniture that overlaps to form a decorative and compact relief allowing to optimize space. The participant won a prize of 3000 dinars and a certified training in entrepreneurship. The award ceremony took place on May 3rd at UTICA headquarters under the aegis of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and in the presence of leaders of leading Furniture Manufacturers and design experts.
